by Well, perhaps not a clean sweep, but certainly a prevailing breeze is in the air. For the first time in many years, the President of the U.S.A. will have a Congress controlled by his own party.
The fact that the rulers are the Republicans, a party that generally respects party lines, indicates that the vast majority of their agenda will be made reality.
Even staunch Republican citizens are somewhat apprehensive about the prospect of so much potential power being wielded without the buffering effect of poltical stalemate.
President Bush has the opportunity of a lifetime to change the face of this country; may he do so with haste, wisdom, and restraint. An anxious citizenry will be watching with an eye on 2004 to see that he does so.
