Our Next President?

If Bill Frist becomes President, would we start calling him “Slick Willie”, too? I’d never heard of the guy until Trent Lott made the P.C. crowd made by praising Strom Thurmond, but now Frist’s taking on W on stem cell research! Says Jill Zuckman of the Chicago Tribune.

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist’s announcement Friday that he would support federal funding of embryonic stem cell research sparked outrage among Christian conservatives and may signal a rift within the Republican Party in advance of the 2008 elections.

Good for you, Bill. Much as the moral minority likes to keep things static, there are times that we simply have to move ahead or become irrelevant. This is one of them.

  1. Moral minority? Do you really think so? I think we are the majority and we should stand up for our rights. The Republicans do not get it, the Democrats really do not get it and the religious leaders are just trying to get in on the money train. Sound like a diatribe? Not really a rant and rave – just the truth. We have become a radical society without direction or ethics. Who educated these people ( or should I say did not educate)? I guess we ourselves are to blame.
