The latest CNN poll shows that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are now more-or-less tied in the Texas Democratic primary race.
The two candidates are essentially tied on immigration, Iraq and the economy, but Clinton has an advantage on health care and abortion.
Obama must then have the personal appeal, since he’s on the move, closing a 10 point gap since I wrote about this race 17 days ago and belying the idea that Clinton should win this state’s race.
Looks like Hillary will have to earn her victories in Texas and elsewhere, which is the way it should be. The problem is her perceived divisiveness. Obama wins fence-sitting voters almost by default because of the Clintons’ – plural, you understand – history.
