Palin vs. Obama

I was recently asked if I thought Sarah Palin was ready to be Vice-President. The answer is, “No, not yet”, not if I’m being asked in a strictly utilitarian manner. But that’s not what political elections are about, are they?

Job 1 is getting elected and she’s certainly ready to do that. Just by being Sarah Palin, she’s ready and able to help the good guys win this important election and – very important – deny the Democrats control over all 3 branches of government.  While we know relatively little about her, it’s undeniable that Sarah Palin has the approval of the vast majority of her state’s voters. Simple logic tells me that she must be doing something right.

It’s unfortunate that democratic elections are less about accomplishments and ability than about rhetoric and speaking ability, but there’s no use denying it.  In that vein, it’s fair to compare Mrs. Palin’s accomplishments and credentials vs. those of Barack Obama.  In fact
