Super-duper Delegate Scooper

Another day, another story about why Democratic superdelegates haven’t stepped into the Democratic primary battle like a referee, waived a battered Hillary Clinton to her corner on a TKO, and called the fight for Barack Obama.

Here’s the best reason why not:  American voters want to decide this spectacle – the most interesting and perhaps most important contest to take place in decades – by themselves.

And rightly so.  The last thing America needs is a bunch of uber-party dudes duking it out in a back room across the street from the Capitol building.

CNN’s Oregon voter poll shows 62 percent say they’ll be satisfied if the campaign continues.

Damn right.
